Al Knight

Owner and Artist

Al Knight's career is a testament to adaptability, creativity, and the pursuit of passion. From 1979 to 2008, Al owned a highly successful adobe construction company, gaining national recognition for innovative fireplace designs featured in multiple publications and on HGTV.

After the 2009 recession, Al pivoted to establish Acequia Vineyards & Winery in Corrales, NM, a charming farming village nestled between Albuquerque and Rio Rancho. As a vintner, Al's dedication to excellence led to serving on the Boards of Directors for both the New Mexico Wine Country Association and the New Mexico Wine and Grape Growers Association, further solidifying a legacy within the wine industry.

In recent years, Al embraced a lifelong passion for stained glass art, transforming the former tasting room into a fully equipped stained glass studio. This transition allowed Al to explore and create stunning works in mission style, prairie style, art nouveau, and original designs. At 74 years young, Al is thriving in this new chapter, contributing to a vibrant art community and inspiring others with a journey defined by reinvention and artistry.

Whether shaping adobe, crafting wine, or designing intricate stained glass, Al’s story is one of resilience and a relentless pursuit of creative expression.
